Our History
The Rotary Club of Sebastopol has always supported and funded educational projects. Early funding for educational projects prior to the Education Foundation was provided by dues and individual contributions of club members. The Club wanted a hand in the raising the next generation of children.
The Sebastopol Rotary Education Foundation (SREF) was established in 1982 through the Sebastopol Rotary Club.
Non Profit Status
The SREF is a 501(C)(3) non-profit tax exempt foundation. It secured this status in 1991. The foundation was established as an ongoing Endowment Fund from which it directs funds each year for education related gifts.
