Our Mission
The mission of the Sebastopol Rotary Education Foundation is to secure and annually distribute funds in the form of grants, scholarships, and educational equipment or materials. These philanthropic activities are exclusively provided for the benefit of students from Western Sonoma County. The Foundation was established as an ongoing Endowment Fund from which it directs funds each year for educational gifts. It is a non-profit, tax-exempt Foundation.
Trustees are appointment by the President of the Rotary Club of Sebastopol for staggered 4-year terms. Trustees are all active members of the Rotary Club of Sebastopol.
The Foundation accepts and encourages donations and bequests from the Rotary Club, its members, and from the community.
Why We Do This
Many people ask what motivates us to give our time and resources. The reason is simple; we care passionately about education and believe it's the right thing to do. Our aim is to suppport education that fosters students' love of learning and their sense of citizenship in a global community.
There are no salaried employees or payments made to board members or other volunteers. You can be confident that your contribution is benefitting education only.
