Our Giving Record
The foundation is approaching $1 Million in total funds and your continued generosity through annual contributions and estate gifts will influence students for generations to come.
Distributions and grants to west county education initiatives total tens of thousands of dollars each year to fund numerous programs by providing band instruments, computer equipment, Project Maker equipment and financial support for Project Graduations at El Molino, Laguna and Analy High Schools. SREF has also given significant support for students in grades K-8 across West County, including classroom presentations by the Sonoma County Repertory Theatre and Hallberg Butterfly Gardens, equipment for Project Maker and culinary instruction, plus programs that encourage preparation for college and career success.
Each Spring, The Foundation recognizes three West Sonoma County School educators with $1000.00 Teacher of the Year awards.
Beginning in 2019, SREF has partnered with the North Bay Construction Corps (NBCC) to start a west county chapter of NBCC, an after-school, 5 month basic construction training program for seniors in high school. For more information, go to: https://ncbeonline.com/nbcc/
